The Bemidji State University men’s hockey team recorded a power-play goal early Saturday, but Northern Michigan University scored three unanswered goals to finish the game and the Wildcats defeated the Beavers, 3-1, earning a series victory in Marquette, Mich.
Cory Ward recorded the only goal of the game for the Beavers at the 8:23 mark of the first period. Graeme McCormack and Kyle Bauman logged assists on BSU’s first power-play opportunity of the evening.
The Beavers will not compete next week, but will return to action Nov. 13-14 when they host University of Alaska. The series will get underway at 7:37 p.m. Friday with a 7:07 p.m. opening face off set for Saturday.
