The Bemidji State University women’s basketball wraps up its 2015-16 home slate by hosting University of Mary Friday and Minot State University Saturday. The Beavers (7-15, 3-15 NSIC) will celebrate Senior Day for center Sarah Durand, the only senior on the squad.
U-Mary leads the all-time series record versus Bemidji State, 15-4, after the rivalry began with a Beavers’ win, 80-75, Nov. 30, 1984. Pelzer has two 20+ point games against the Marauders in her career, including a 23-point performance earlier this season in a 71-66 loss in Bismarck, N.D.
Bemidji State and Minot State will play in the Beaver Bash for the 14th time as MSU leads the series, 9-4. MSU took the first meeting this season, 80-49, as Pelzer and sophomore center Sierra Senske each reached double-digit scoring. BSU last took a win versus MSU with an 81-70 decision Feb. 15, 2013 in Minot, N.D.
Saturday’s game against U-Mary at the BSU Gymnasium will celebrate Senior Day.
